ichael Smith serves as N2Growth’s CEO, Americas. Headquartered in Philadelphia USA, he is responsible to oversee client account management, business development and client value delivery throughout N2Growth’s North and Latin American regions. Michael is also a member of the company’s global expansion team, helping to innovate and execute N2Growth’s own Next Practices in the region and around the world.
He specializes in breakthrough strategy development, strategy execution, culture transformation, leadership development, and innovation readiness. Michael has opened new markets, crafted revenue acceleration programs, and coached C-teams to high performance. He is also experienced with private equity ventures, M&A’s, opening new territories, and global cross-cultural alignment.
Michael began his career with Metropolitan Life, providing financial services to Fortune 500 companies and managing a multi-state sales and service team. His career evolved to providing strategic management consulting services, and serving as a regional practice leader for Watson Wyatt and Deloitte, among others. As a private entrepreneur Michael successfully launched four new ventures, in three different industries. And he has served as both a C-suite mentor, and in a variety of senior executive roles like Managing Partner and Global Strategy Officer.
He has served well over 100 clients on six continents during his consulting career, across 16 industry verticals – including financial services, health care, high technology and telecommunications, professional services, law, hospitality, manufacturing, retail / wholesale, NGO’s and the public sector.
Having earned a BA at the University of California, Berkeley, and an Executive MBA from the University of Washington, Michael also completed an executive program in Leadership at Harvard University. He was also certified as a facilitator for both The Pacific Institute (human dynamics) and The Predictive Index (psycho-profile).
He enjoys providing pro bono services to select NGO’s, and has served on non-profit Boards. Michael mentors seasoned senior executives and aspiring young business entrepreneurs. And he contributes his time, talent and resources to support international relief and development work in different locations in Africa and Latin America.
