unc Akyurt is a senior partner at N2Growth’s Turkey Office. He’s in charge of business development and project delivery across all service lines at N2Growth.
Tunc has more than 21 years of in-depth and hands-on experience at financial services industry and executive management consulting delivering bottom-line results. His areas of expertise include strategy and business development, business transformation, talent management, design and execution of innovative marketing programs, customer and risk analytics, CRM and digital transformation across key sectors such as banking, insurance, retail, telecom and various B2C and B2B sectors.
Tunc began his career at Capital One. He was in charge of developing and implementing innovative marketing programs to generate profitable and sustainable growth. After five years, he joined McKinsey as a management consultant where Tunc gained in depth experience around complex problem solving, strategy and roadmap development, transformation leadership and organizational design across key sectors such as banking, Fast Moving Consumer Goods and telecom. Tunc then joined Finansbank, the 5th largest bank in Turkey, as the Group Head in charge of retail banking covering key functions such as strategy development, marketing and sales, pricing and CRM as well as customer analytics and digital delivery channels. He also had an executive advisory role for the international region of Finansbank’s parent bank to enable a sustainable business model at retail banking . After Finansbank, Tunc joined Akbank, one of the top 3 banks in Turkey, as the Executive Vice President in charge of Strategy, CRM, Product and Channel Development, Economic Research and Bancassurance.
He acted as an internal executive consultant for the CEO and the Board to provide strategic guidance. Tunc then joined a global management consulting company, Peppers & Rogers Group, as the managing partner in charge of financial services industry across Europe, Turkey, Middle East and Africa. Tunc managed consulting projects around marketing and sales strategy and execution, customer experience, cultural transformation, organizational redesign, loyalty programs, customer and risk analytics, omni-channel excellence and digitalization. Before founding N2Growth’s Istanbul Office with his partners, Tunc was the managing partner of his own consulting company specializing in strategy and business development, customer and risk analytics across key B2C and B2B sectors.
Tunc is a graduate of Istanbul Erkek Lisesi, a top German High School based in Turkey. He holds a BSc degree in Industrial Engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul. Tunc has received his MSc degree at Management Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech in the USA. He is married and is the proud father of 2 lovely daughters. Tunc is passionate about tennis and is an active veteran player. He loves skiing on black slopes all over the world. He enjoys spending time with his family traveling and experiencing different cultures. He’s a results oriented, ambitious person with a special focus on sustainable and effective execution. His favorite phrase is “execution eats strategy for breakfast”.
