Sammy Martinez is an Associate in N2Growth’s Executive Search practice in Los Angeles, CA. She has a passion for the people-side of organizations and working with companies to unlock their full potential through strategic talent decisions.

Prior to N2Growth, Sammy worked on the Talent Acquisition team at Boston Consulting Group. She then obtained a Ph.D. in Management from Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. She specialized in research on social networks, interpersonal trust, and employee well-being. She also enjoyed teaching courses for undergraduate and MBA students that covered topics such as Professional Development, Conflict Resolution, Negotiation, Leadership, and Team Effectiveness. She received the PhD Student Teaching award for her performance in the classroom.

Sammy received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. After graduation, she worked at the Henry Jackson Foundation as an Associate Investigator. There, she conducted research out of Walter Reed to identify interventions that could improve PTSD symptoms in military personnel.

One of Sammy’s favorite parts of living in Southern California is the ability to stay active year-round. She has participated in a variety of different races, including triathlons to half-marathons. She also participates in recreational leagues for different sports, most recently, she joined a bowling league for the first time.
