Lauren Nichols

Lauren Nichols is the Controller for N2Growth, Inc., overseeing the organization’s daily accounting operations and monitoring the company’s overall financial health. Additionally, she supports the CEO in the company’s strategic financial decisions. Lauren has spent nearly 30 years in the accounting industry in various roles spanning from very small family businesses to one of the world’s largest privately owned companies. At 15, she began managing the bookkeeping and payroll for her family’s agriculture business. After college, she worked as a corporate accountant for Koch Industries, Inc., where her roles focused on financial reporting, cash management, joint ventures, major acquisitions and divestitures, and supervising an accounts payable department. Lauren has also been a part of a public accounting firm and consulted for non-profit organizations.

Lauren graduated summa cum laude from Fort Hays State University in 2004, earning a B.A. in Accounting with an emphasis in Leadership Studies. She was a four-year team captain as a NCAA II tennis player in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Lauren completed her Master of Business Administration from Webster University in 2011. Lauren is a Certified Public Accountant and Accredited Financial Counselor®. Lauren holds a teaching certificate in the state of Florida for grades 6-12 in Business Administration. Lastly, she has been an Adjunct Professor for York College (NE) and the University of Maryland Global Campus, where she taught introductory-level accounting courses.

As a military spouse, Lauren has lived across the globe, including Nebraska, Washington, Arizona, England, and Italy. She is currently located in Panama City Beach, Florida, where she enjoys watching her daughter run track, her oldest son competes in powerlifting, and her youngest son wrestles and plays basketball and football. During the summer months, she often returns to her home state of Kansas to help with the wheat harvest by operating a combine for her father’s custom harvesting business.
