Robert Meara

Robert “Robby” Meara is a Partner at N2Growth based in Washington, DC, and executes search work across the United States and international assignments covering US-based candidate pools. Robby began his career in strategy consulting with Avascent, now part of Oliver Wyman, before transitioning into executive search.

Before joining N2Growth, Robby worked as an associate, senior associate and principal within two large international executive search firms. During these tenures, he worked at the intersection of Industrial, Healthcare, Consumer, and Technology practices to develop a specialization in B2B distribution and services roles (across products and sectors). Typical assignments include CEO, COO, and Division President/Vice President & General Manager roles covering full P&L leadership, but Robby has also developed functional expertise in Commercial and Marketing leadership roles, including CCO, CMO, or equivalent positions.

Robby’s background in strategy consulting, along with his early career experience in the US intelligence community, inform his inquisitive people-centric, and detail-oriented approach to search. He brings a keen understanding of what drives individuals as leaders, along with an appreciation of how the right executive hire leads to broader strategic success.

Over the course of his career in search, Robby has progressed from research into project management, ultimately becoming the research lead for the B2B distribution practice within another international, retained executive search firm. In his last role, Robby co-led his firm’s B2B distribution practice with the US, bringing extensive experience leading successful searches from start to finish.

Robby is originally from Texas but traveled extensively growing up, including spending several formative years in the UK and Russia. His interest in the world led to his undergraduate studies at Georgetown University, where he graduated with a BSFS in International Politics. Robby also holds an MA in International Security from The George Washington University and an MBA from Notre Dame University.
